A very fine original American Legion medal commemorating the 12th Convention, located in Boston in 1930. Working pin and catch on the brooch attached. Maker marked to the reverse. 

 

The American Legion, commonly known as the Legion, is a nonprofit organization of U.S. war veterans headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is made up of state, U.S. territory, and overseas departments, and these are in turn made up of local posts.
