A very attractive two-pronged cap badge here from the "SZIT" or the "Trade Union Youth Workers' and Apprentices' Movement." An early badge here, in good condition with no major wear or damage. Both functional prongs are present on the reverse. 
 
The Trade Union Council (SZT) was the central governing body of the trade union movement from the end of the 19th century until 1948.
 
The youth secretariat of the SZT created the SZIT  for organizational work to be carried out among apprentices and industrial students. The movement prepared young people for the basic principles of the trade union movement (social democracy) and for participation in it.
