An absolutely beautiful WWI German award group here consisting of:

  1. 3 Position Medal Bar (EK2, Bremen Hanseatic Cross, Hindenburg Cross)
  2. Iron Cross 1st Class
  3. Black Wound Badge
  4. Hindenburg Cross Award Document dated 1935

While only the Hindenburg Cross is attributed in this grouping, it came to me as a complete set for the veteran named in the document - Friedrich Aufderheide. Aufderheide is noted as being a "Händler" which translates to "Merchant" or "Dealer"

There is obvious damage to the enamel of the Bremen cross. Enamel is damaged on the right arm of the cross, directly under where the Hindenburg cross overlaps. Iron Cross 1st Class is hallmarked to the reverse and has a period-repaired catch which is visible in photos.

A very fine set of awards for the WWI or WWII German collector.
