A very fine and original Mongolian People's Army "30th Anniversary Medal Of Victory Khalkhin Gol." This medal is in excellent condition with no enamel damage and working pin and catch to the reverse. 
 
The award was instituted by the Decree of the Presidium of the Great People's Khural of the Mongolian People's Republic of 9 June 1969, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the defeat of the Japanese militarists by the Mongolian and Soviet troops, who invaded the Mongolian People's Republic in the region of the Khalkhin-Gol River.
 
The medal is awarded to persons who directly participated in the hostilities on the Khalkhin-Gol River, as well as those who, with their selfless labor, provided concrete and effective assistance in defeating the Japanese invaders.
