This early and rare Hungarian student organization banner is extremely faded, and I believe based on the thread used for repairs that it was once red. Now more of an orange/gold color. It is single sided and features the pre-1956 Hungarian seal. The seal is quite attractive despite some fading. The higher inscription reads "Onwards with study for our country!" and the lower inscription bears the name of Mátyás Rákosi, leader of the Hungarian Working People's Party. Three original hanging rings are still attached, one is missing. Condition is depicted in photos, some repairs, holes, and stains are present. With fringe included, the flag measures at roughly 30"x 42".
