A very nice and example of the Romanian Order of Labor, 3rd Class. This version is incribed "RSR" meaning "Republica Socialistă România" or Socialist Republic of Romania. The RSR existed from 1965 until 1989. The award and ribbon bar are present in their original award box. Both are pinbacked and have a working pin and catch.

The Order of Labour was instituted in 1948 in three classes, to reward merit, especially in the field of work but in the event was awarded for achievement in a wide number of fields. In 1965, when the name of the state was changed to from the Romanian People's Republic to the Romanian Socialist Republic, the letters RPR changed to RSR, as per this example.
