An excellent grouping here! This WWII US army uniform belonged to Arthur J. Whalen of Danvers, Massachusetts. Whalen served in the 3rd Army Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. Included in this grouping is his uniform (shirt, jacket, and pants), a 3rd AAF yearbook featuring his name and portrait, and paperwork including his immunization record, enlistment paperwork, and discharge paperwork. Also present is a ribbon bar for the Army Good Conduct medal, and a ruptured duck patch to show that he was honorably discharged. The stitching of the 3rd AAF patch is unique and eye catching, definitely not something you see every day!
