An authentic and early Bulgarian People's Republic medal "For Participation in Anti-Fascist Struggle" on it's original tri-fold ribbon. Excellent condition. 
 
The medal "For Participation in Anti-Fascist Struggle" was instituted on 15 June 1948. Initially it was named Medal "For participation in the Partisan Movement". The name was change by decree in December 1950 to "for Participation in the Anti-Fascist Struggle." The award came in one class and was awarded only once to participants in the struggle against fascism and capitalism.
