A nice original "type 2" example here of the Soviet "Defense of Leningrad" medal, unfortunately with a replacement mount made of aluminum. Medal itself is in excellent condition.
The Medal "For the Defense of Leningrad" was awarded to all participants in the defense of Leningrad - soldiers of the Red Army, Navy, troops of the NKVD, and also to the persons from the civilian population who took part in the defence of Leningrad during its siege by German forces.
