A fine original Deutsches Jugend-Reiterabzeichen (German Young Rider's Badge). This variation of badge was used between 1932 and 1945. Marked "34" on the reverse for W. Annetsberger, Munich. A very rare and interesting badge. Roughly 31mm x 34mm

The German Youth Rider Badge was established on August 7, 1932 by the Reich Association for the Breeding and Testing of German Warmbloods. The award was given to young people under the age of 18 who had passed the qualification test, which included exercises in dressage riding (3 gaits) and jumping exercises (a total of 8 jumps and 3 different obstacles). Due to the great popularity of the badge, around 11,000 pieces were awarded by 1942.
