A fine original WWII German Feuerschutzpolizei visor cap here with clear maker's mark present on the inside. Chinstrap is lost to history. Type 2 Feuerschutzpolizei eagle is present along with cockade. No serious damage to speak of, very good condition with the exception of the missing chinstrap.
Feuerschutzpolizei (lit. 'Fire Protection Police') was a firefighter unit in Nazi Germany and a branch of Nazi Germany's Ordnungspolizei, formed in 1938 when the German municipal professional fire brigades were transferred to the national police.
