An original pre-WWI/WWI (pre-1915) Prussian "Gott Mit Uns" enlisted man/NCO belt buckle. Two piece construction with a very nice, un-dented, center disc. This buckle is in good condition condition, not misshapen, and still has both of it's remaining prongs on the reverse. The catch on the reverse of this buckle has been altered to be a 2-prong open catch which would have gone through holes of a belt.
This is likely for post-war use on a non-military belt, but could possibly be a field repair for a broken belt/catch. The catch posts have clearly been clipped and bent into place with intention.
