The Foundation of the Chosun Soren 50th Anniversary Medal was created to commemorate 50 years of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (known as the Chosun Soren). It is awarded to patriotic businessmen and Chosun Soren workers who contribute to the organization's work, efforts towards reunification, and promote unity of Korean residents in Japan with those in North Korea.
